Top 8 Natural Ingredients To Use This SummerJune 5, 2018 · Smoothtalk Ninja

We all know the saying "you are what you eat" but you're also what you put on your body.  Oh, our thoughts exactly. So we called on Mother Nature to help compile our top 8 natural ingredients that do a number on your body (in a good way).

Aloe Vera - Ancient Egyptians were the first to use Aloe Vera to heal wounds and soothe their skin. Inside an Aloe Vera leaf is a gel rich in vitamins, minerals, enzymes and amino acids. Cleopatra was also notorious for moisturizing her skin with Aloe Vera due to its incredible ability to seal in skin's moisture. Good find Cleo.
Green Tea - A staple throughout Chinese history for it's medicinal benefits, both ingested and topically. This powerful antioxidant does wonders for your skin. It fights signs of aging, helps prevent sun damage, boosts skin's elasticity and has anti-inflammatory properties - just to name a few! Whether you drink it or apply it, you can't go wrong.
Vitamin C - Vitamin C found in lemons is another antioxidant powerhouse. Known for it's anti-aging properties, it boosts collagen, repairs skin cells, reduces the look of fine lines and wrinkles and restores your skin's healthy balance. Lemons anyone?
Olive Oil - A timeless Mediterranean favorite for Spartans and Greeks who would give themselves a rub down before hitting the gymnasium. Loaded with Vitamin E and polyphenols that help repair cells and counteract free radicals (caused by environmental factors like pollution, smoking and over-exposure to the sun).
Jojoba Oil - Native Americans used jojoba oil for topical and medicinal purposes and extracted this oil from a desert shrub. Known for its moisturization and anti-aging benefits, jojoba oil also helps tackle stretch marks and cellulite.
Honey - Another fan favorite by, you guessed it...Cleopatra!  Honey is rich in natural antioxidants that have anti-microbial properties which help heal wounds, scares and acne. Honey also protects your skin from harmful UV rays and facilitates the skin’s ability to rejuvenate.
Argan Oil - Also known as "liquid gold," argan oil is derived from nuts found within the argan trees, which grow almost exclusively in Morocco. High in vitamin E, essential fatty acids and antioxidants, argan oil aids in a variety of skin conditions, from dry skin and wrinkles to psoriasis, eczema and acne.
Ginseng - This medicinal plant flourishes in Siberia, Northern China and Korea and has a history of improving skin complexion, blood circulation, toning and brightening dark spots.
